"Edward Katwaza has also been assistant Lecturer at the Centre for Gender studies of the College of Arts and Social sciences, university of Rwanda since March 2014. Edward is a Gender and Economics and holds a Masters degree (Master of Arts Degree in – Gender analysis and Economics) _Makerere University_Uganda and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics Sciences_ University of Rwanda with a strong bias in empowerment and financial inclusion. Edward holds did several post graduate certificate including Project monitoring and evaluation (PME) in Makerere_university and an international certificate on AGRIBUSINESS – A TOOL FOR THE EMPOWERMENT OF RURAL WOMEN in Golda Meir Mount Carmel - International Training Centre (MCTC) and Centre for International Agricultural Development cooperation (CINADC) Israel: Besides assisting and teaching in gender research methods and analysis; & Gender and Development. Edward also teaches Principals of Economics in the undergraduate class in College of Arts and Social Sciences. Edward have carried and successfully completed a number trainings and activities with gender focus and some of which include reviewing the competence – based curriculum with Rwanda Education Board by mainstreaming gender perspectives in all subjects at all levels. Development of International toolkit on Gender responsive toolkit on Early children Education – Rwanda, South Africa and Zambia- FAWE/VVob, Developing a training material for Rwanda Management Institute for gender –based planning and Budget with Korean Institute of Public Administration (KIPA)/RMI, and develop the structured learning programme to support struggling students, which integrates gender as a crosscutting theme by Inspire, Educate Empower - Rwanda/UNICEF. "
