The University of Rwanda Research and Innovation Policy aims to support the creation of a conducive environment that promotes research and innovation by attracting and retaining top academic talents and enabling them to perform research on par with international standards that contribute to the national, regional, and global development agenda. The policy supports the University of Rwanda (UR) to position itself as a leading research institution in the region, with research having a direct positive impact on the quality of education at the UR, and with research functioning as a driver for economic development and service delivery.
