Brief profile:
"As a dedicated educator and researcher with over two decades in academia and engineering, I bring a practical and innovative approach to mechatronics, energy systems, and advanced manufacturing. My journey began with hands-on roles as a Lab Engineer, supporting students in subjects like Dynamics of Machines and Engineering Drawing. Today, I lead the Mechanical and Energy Engineering Department at the University of Rwanda, where I focus on modernising labs, introducing forward-thinking programs such as Aerospace Engineering, and building industry and international partnerships. My research is driven by real-world challenges—whether designing smart systems for public health, improving renewable energy access, or advancing prosthetic technology through additive manufacturing. I have a strong publication record in vehicle crash modelling, control systems, and grid stability, often integrating AI techniques like fuzzy logic and neural networks into engineering solutions. I thrive at the intersection of teaching, research, and collaboration, mentoring postgraduate and undergraduate projects that bridge theory and application—from solar tracking systems and UAV design to smart robotics and energy-aware technologies. I am also actively involved in the academic community as an editorial board member and reviewer, contributing to journals in simulation and applied mathematics. Committed to sustainable development and engineering education in Rwanda and beyond, I continuously seek opportunities to apply my expertise in modelling, simulation, and control systems to create impactful, technology-driven solutions.
