Brief profile: 
Myriam Mujawamariya holds a PhD degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her area of research is on improving mechanistic understanding of tropical forests and staple crops responses to climate change. Currently, Myriam is exploring heat and drought tolerance in both tropical trees and crops. She has research collaborations both local and international. She has obtained an OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Award for Early Career Women Scientists in the Developing World (2022), Award in Climate Action and the Environment.
