Brief profile:
Ecosystem scientist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, Dr. Fabien Rizinjirabake focuses on the fields of Physical Geography, ecosystem processes, and sustainable water and land management within his academic setting. Dr. Fabien has completed his PhD in Geobiosphere with specilisation in Physical Geography and Ecosystem Analysis at Lund University (Sweden) as well as completed two higher-level degrees in Biology of interactions and Adaptations, and Terrestrial ecosystems Ecology and modelling French universities, including the University of Sophia Antipolis in Nice and the University of Bordeaux. The research conducted by Dr. Fabien encompasses the dynamics of dissolved organic carbon; determining rates of soil erosion; evaluating the contribution of indigenous tree species to the ecosystem; and determining how local knowledge can support efforts to conserve ecosystems. Through his extensive research and writing, Dr. Fabien has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on various topics of his expertise.
