Benineza Gatoni

"Benineza Gatoni is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geomatics Engineering at the University of Rwanda. I hold a Master’s degree in Spatial Planning with GIS and has extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, student supervision, and research mentorship. My research interests focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), cartography, transportation accessibility, and the integration of land use and transportation planning. I am particularly passionate about leveraging Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) and geospatial technologies for sustainable urban and environmental planning. I have demonstrated strong academic leadership through coordinating courses, supervising student projects, and contributing to research initiatives aimed at solving real-world spatial planning and transportation challenges."
