Dr. Jean Claude Byungura is an Associate Professor of Computer and Systems Science with extensive academic, research, and professional experience in digital technologies and their application across diverse sectors. He holds a PhD in Computer and Systems Science from Stockholm University, Sweden, where he also completed postdoctoral research focusing on Digital Health and E-learning. His research interests span Information Systems, Educational Technology, Digital Health, E-learning, and Digital Transformation, with a particular interest in understanding how digital technologies can improve organisational processes, service delivery, education, healthcare, and societal development. His work brings together technological, organisational, and human perspectives to address contemporary challenges associated with digitalisation and the adoption and use of emerging technologies. Dr. Byungura has contributed to the academic community through the publication of peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers in recognised international journals and conference proceedings. His research activities also include interdisciplinary and applied projects involving digital transformation, information systems development, digital education, and technology-enabled services. In addition to his research and publications, he has experience in academic leadership, teaching, research supervision, curriculum development, digital learning, and institutional digital transformation initiatives. His professional work reflects a strong commitment to leveraging digital technologies and innovative approaches to strengthen higher education, research, public services, and sustainable digital development.
