NKURUNZIZA Prosper

Dr. Nkurunziza Prosper is a seasoned Rural Development expert with over 17 years of experience in higher education, entrepreneurship, institutional assessment, project planning and management, and program monitoring and evaluation across Rwanda and the Great Lakes region. He holds a PhD in Rural Development and has served in senior roles with organizations including the University of Rwanda [UR], Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Microfinance [RICEM], Rwanda Management Institute, Rwanda Horticulture Inter-Professional Organization [RHIO], Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda [AMIR] among others. He has contributed to the establishment of entrepreneurial ecosystem in Africa Science and Entrepreneurship University [ASEU] in Liberia, digital education initiatives in Rwanda and DRC, agribusiness training, and quality assurance in higher education. Dr. Prosper is also a published researcher and governance board member in different development organizations operating in Rwanda. Fluent in English, French, and Kinyarwanda, he combines academic rigor with practical experience in capacity building, policy, grant proposal writing and stakeholder engagement, making him a valuable asset to regional development and institutional transformation initiatives.
