Brief profile: 
I am Hakizimana Joseph, an Assistant lecturer at University of Rwanda. In 2024, I graduated my masters of Education in English Education from the University of Rwanda, college of Education. In 2022, I graduated my diploma of adult literacies from the University of Rwanda in partnership with Aberdeen University. I have been teaching at the higher learning institutions for 3 years. Besides, I have been teaching English at Teacher Training College for 5 years. Furthermore, I am a researcher interested in Language teaching, Language Use and Method plus Language Policy. In 2015, I carried out action research on how using Drama, students can boost their English-speaking performance. In 2024, I carried out another research on the Challenges English Teachers face when applying Eclectic Approach to improve the students’ English-Speaking Skills in public secondary schools in Huye district. Meanwhile, in the same year , the team of scholars and I Carried out researches on Impact of using printed text books to boost students’ performance, and Teachers ’attitudes towards the English as medium of Instructions. In addition, together with senior researchers at the university of Rwanda, we published the dissertation entitled” Investigating the Role of Eclectic Approach to Improve the students’ English-Speaking Skills. Currently, I am working on a project entitled’ The comparative analysis of non-language option undergraduate students’ intrinsic motivation to learn the English Language. Case study of university of Rwanda-College of Business and Economics.
