NIYONAGIRA Denyse

Mrs. Denyse NIYONAGIRA is a Tutorial Assistant in the Centre for Languages Enhancement based at the University of Rwanda, College of Arts and Social Sciences. She is a passionate English teacher who has taught in secondary schools and is currently teaching English modules (EGP, ESP and EAP) at the University of Rwanda. She is also a Consultant at British Council Rwanda, working with UR-CE pre-service teachers under the STELIR project (Secondary Teachers English Language Improvement in Rwanda). Her Educational background is in language education, especially English. She holds a First Class Bachelor's degree in English with Education from UR-College of Education (2015-2019) and has completed her Master's of Education in English Education in the same college (to graduate in October 2025). She has defended her Master's dissertation on Prosodic Effects of the Kinyarwanda language on English Education among lower secondary learners. She is now working on some publications for her research.
