"Rosette Nkundimfura is an Assistant Lecturer at the Center for Gender Studies, University of Rwanda, with academic and research interests at the intersection of gender, peace, and development. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Peace, Security, and Conflict Studies at the University of Rwanda/ CCM in collaboration with Gothenburg University, Sweden. Her doctoral research focuses on the contribution of women to peacebuilding at the community level in post-genocide Rwanda, with a particular case study on SEVOTA, a grassroots women’s organization. Her work integrates feminist peacebuilding theory and empowerment models to examine women’s roles, challenges, and transformative impact in rebuilding societies after conflict. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is committed to mentoring young women leaders and contributing to advocacy on gender equality, peacebuilding, and sustainable development both locally and globally."
