BIMENYIMANA Valens

"Valens Bimenyimana holds a BA in English and an MA in Genocide Studies and Prevention from the University of Rwanda. He is an assistant lecturer at the University of Rwanda. He is also completing his PhD research in Peace, Conflict, and Security at the University of Rwanda’s Centre for Conflict Management (UR-CCM) in collaboration with Gothenburg University/School of Global Studies. Previously he was a researcher, translator and community worker for local and international organizations like Partners in Health, the former Rwandan Commission for the Fight against the Genocide, and the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement. He also worked as an administration staff member at the University of Kibungo (INATEK). Bimenyimana’s research interests include memory, education to genocide, terminology and lexicography."
