BYISHIMO Jean Claude

"Mr. Jean Claude BYISHIMO is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. He is a veterinary doctor, with DVM degree acquired at EISMV Dakar in 2012, and he holds a Masters of Science in Global Health Delivery (MGHD) option One Health, from the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) in 2019. Before joining the University of Rwanda, Mr Byishimo has worked as Assistant Lecturer at Rwanda Polytechnic, Integrated Polytechnic Regional College of Huye from 2017 to 2022. In addition, he has served as Head of Department of Veterinary Technology. He has also worked for FAO Rwanda, Private Sector Federation and different companies especially in farmers’ training and research. Mr Jean Claude Byishimo joined the University of Rwanda in 2023, now he is teaching modules related to Veterinary Anatomy. He is also the Head of Department of Veterinary Medicine. His research interests include Antimicrobial Resistance, One Health and Climate Change. Mr Jean Claude BYISHIMO is an active member of the Rwandan Council of Veterinary Doctors and the Rwandan Association of Veterinary Doctors. "
