Brief profile:
Dr. Hatungimana has over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and supervision in animal nutrition, feed formulation, feed technology, and sustainable livestock production systems. He has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervised numerous MSc and undergraduate research projects. His research interests focus on dairy and ruminant nutrition, feed resource utilization, processing technologies, rumen function, alternative feed resources such as Black Soldier Flies, and improving productivity of smallholder livestock systems.
He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and actively participates in national and international research and consultancy projects related to animal feed technologies, fodder development, and sustainable livestock systems. Dr. Hatungimana also serves as a reviewer for international scientific journals, including the Journal of Dairy Science and Frontiers in Animal Science.
