Brief profile: 
"Prof. Ahmed Adebowale Adedeji is a Professor of Pharmacology and Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Rwanda. He is a pharmacologist and translational scientist with extensive academic, research, and leadership experience, and collaborative networks across multiple countries. His research interests span drug development, treatment response monitoring, precision medicine, and preventive medicine for population health, with particular relevance to infectious diseases, oncology, neurobehavioural disorders, and vaccine use in health systems. He has received advanced training in pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, including postdoctoral training with the World Health Organization Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (WHO/TDR), Geneva. Prof. Adedeji is actively involved in research capacity building and mentorship, having supervised over 66 undergraduate and postgraduate students and published over 70 peer-reviewed articles. He leads and participates in several pan-African and international research initiatives aimed at strengthening research productivity, innovation, and leadership among African scientists "
