Brief profile: 
MS. Marie Anne Mukasafari is the Assistant lecturer at the College of Agriculture Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, University of Rwanda. My research interests are feeding animals, livestock production, food security and gender involvement in livestock production. Feeding animal alternative feed and farm management to increase human livelihood. I currently completed my PhD study at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Interdisciplinary project funded by Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) in collaboration with University of Rwanda. I joined the University of Rwanda (in Former Umutara Polytechnic University: UPU) as an academic staff in May 2013. On 9th December 2016, I obtained a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition at Egerton University, Kenya. In my research study, I evaluated inclusion levels of Skol Ltd brewery by-products replacing concentrates to growing pigs on identifying its cost-effective impact when is used by farmers. In 30th November 2012, Mukasafari was awarded a degree of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine in UR (former UPU). I conducted research on Salmonera disease in poultry at Rubirizi Hatchery. In secondary school, I studied Biology-Chemistry section at FAWE Girls´ School, Rwanda in 2006.
