Dr. Ibe Michael Usman

Dr. Ibe Michael Usman holds a PhD in Human Anatomy with an Area of Specialization in Neuroanatomy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in 2021. He has over 11 years of university teaching experience spanning Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda. As of December 2025, Dr. Usman has successfully supervised and graduated 17 MSc students and 1 PhD candidate. Beyond his teaching and supervisory responsibilities, he is strongly dedicated to curriculum development, academic program review, and capacity building in anatomy education. Dr. Usman’s research focuses on Neuroscience, Mental Health, Educational Psychology, Anatomy Education, and Reproductive Health. He has published over 70 scholarly publications in high-impact journals, with the majority indexed in Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science. He is also an editorial board member and a peer reviewer for several international and local journals. Dr. Usman is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Clinical Anatomy in Rwanda, the Anatomical Society of Nigeria, the Neuroscience Society of Nigeria, the Neuroscience Society of Rwanda, and the Global Andrology Forum; all of these are targeted towards fostering international and local research collaboration.
