Brief profile: 
Dr. Umuhoza Christian, MD, MMed (Pediatrics) is a Senior Consultant Pediatrician and Senior Lecturer at the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali and the University of Rwanda. His research focuses on pediatric emergency and critical care, infectious diseases, and medical education, with particular emphasis on improving outcomes for acutely ill children in resource-limited settings. He has published extensively on pediatric sepsis, hypoxemia, post-discharge mortality, clinical decision support tools, and competency-based medical education, contributing both locally relevant and globally applicable evidence.
