Assoc. Prof. Oluwaseun Sunday Dosumu

Prof. Oluwaseun Sunday Dosumu is an Associate Professor and Head of the Construction Economics and Management Department at the University of Rwanda, with over 20 years of academic, research, and professional experience in Nigeria, South Africa, and Rwanda. He holds qualifications such as PhD, MSc, BSc and HND in Building and Construction Management. He also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. He is a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) with the Chartered Institute of Building, UK; Registered Builder with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria; and a Member of the Green Building Council of Nigeria. His academic and professional experience spans construction management, construction economics, digital transformation, sustainability, curriculum development, academic leadership, and industry engagement. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg from 2017 to 2020 under the Global Excellence Stature Award. He has authored/ co-authored 35 peer-reviewed journal articles, 13 conference papers, three book chapters, and a book published by Taylor and Francis. He has won/implemented several research funds, including the MasterCard (2026), Afretec-Carnegie Mellon (2025), Swedish International Development Agency (2021), Tertiary Education Trust Fund (2018), and Global Excellence Stature award (2017-2020). He won the award for the best paper at the International Conference for Construction and Real Estate Management in China (2017). He is the Chairman of the Program Development team for the Master’s in Construction Project Management and Master's in Facilities Management at the University of Rwanda. He has peer-reviewed for several top-profile journals, and he is currently an editorial board member for Humanities and Social Sciences Communication journal, and the Sustainable Design and Construction section of Frontiers in the Built Environment journal.
