Gaudence Nyiranzeyimana

Dr. Gaudence Nyiranzeyimana is a Lecturer in the Mechanical and Energy Engineering Department at the School of Engineering, College of Science and Technology, University of Rwanda. She earned her B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) in 2012, followed by a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya, in 2017. She completed her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya, in 2023. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles on topics such as additive manufacturing techniques for prosthetics and photovoltaic (PV) systems. She has also developed curricula for Bachelor of Technology programs and assessed teaching, learning, and quality inspection for Bachelor of Technology at Rwanda Polytechnic. Her expertise includes additive manufacturing, materials development, product development, and curriculum development for both TVET and higher education programs. Currently, Dr. Gaudence is a Co- principal investigator of an ongoing project titled “Leveraging Additive Manufacturing to Improve Access to Quality Prosthetic and Orthotic Services in Developing Countries. Currently, she serves as a the Principal Investigator of the project “Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Computational Modeling in Plastic Waste Sorting, and the Development and Optimization of Biofibre-Reinforced Composites for Sustainable Construction Materials. In addition, Dr. Nyiranzeyimana is the Co-Principal Investigator on the project titled “Leveraging Additive Manufacturing to Improve Access to Quality Prosthetic and Orthotic Services in Developing Countries.
