"Dr. Theoneste Ntalindwa is a postdoctoral scholar in Educational Technology at the University of Rwanda, holding a PhD in ICT in Education. His current research focuses on optimizing eLearning systems as shared infrastructure for future classroom technologies, virtual education, and Open Distance Education (ODE). Trained in computer science and information technology, he lectures in computer and software engineering at the University of Rwanda – College of Science and Technology. In addition to his contributions to digital learning ecosystems, Dr. Ntalindwa has conducted pioneering studies in Autism and ICT in Rwanda. He is the lead author of several peer-reviewed publications on the use of ICT and mobile applications to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD. He has also delivered keynote presentations on Autism and inclusive education at the Distance Education and Teacher Education in Africa Conference (2017), the Autism Spectrum Disorder Conference at the University of Rwanda (2018), and the World Psychiatric Association Thematic Congress (2018). Dr. Ntalindwa has further facilitated training sessions on Autism-focused interventions, including empowering autistic youth for employment, implementing functional communication training, and participatory research with autistic adults. These experiences underline his dual commitment to inclusive education and technology-driven solutions. His research interests broadly span ICT, IoT, and AI in Education and Health, with a strong focus on inclusive technologies that address the needs of marginalized learners, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
