HAGABIMANA Eugène

Eugène HAGABIMANA is the Assistant Lecturer at The University of Rwanda (UR)’s School of Journalism and Communication since Oct 2021 up to present. Beside teaching, Eugène is also the Head of Journalism and Communication Department. Eugène holds a Master of Arts (M.A) in Media and communication from The Senghor University Alexandria in Egypt (Graduation May 2013). He got his bachelor’s degree from National University of Rwanda (Graduation: 2006). Prior to join academic staff in UR as full-time academic staff, Eugène served Radio Salus since 2007 and has occupied different positions: From Junior reporter to Station Managing Director. He served also for two years as UR Public Relations and Community Engagement. HAGABIMANA Eugène has strong experience in Journalism, Media, Communication and Public Relations sectors (both in teaching and in management) and sometime works as media trainer on the national level. He also worked (for two years) as a reporter at ORINFOR (Public Broadcasting Agency).
