Brief profile: 
Dr. Yvonne Umulisa is a lecturer at the Department of Economics_the University of Rwanda. She holds a master’s degree in International and Development Economics from” Académie Universitaire Louvain”, Belgium, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Jönköping University, Sweden. Inspired by the theory of optimum currency areas, her research has so far focused on the Economics of the East African Community Monetary Union (EAMU), to generate empirical evidence to inform key decision-makers about the future development of the EAMU. Dr. Yvonne Umulisa also makes a big contribution to the development and implementation of different internally and externally funded research projects.
