Brief profile:
Uwishema Filius is an Assistant Lecturer in the Center for Language Enhancement, College of Arts and Social Sciences in the University of Rwanda. He holds a B.A in Linguistics that he got from National University of Rwanda in 2006 and an M.A in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (M.A TESOL) from Central Michigan University in 2014. He also did some short courses including “Survey of Best Practices in TESOL” with University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2011 and “Academic Language Studies and Graduate Life Skills” with Monterey Institute of International Studies in 2012. Currently, he teaches English for General Purposes (EGP), English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in University of Rwanda, Gikondo Campus. His research areas of interest include Second Language Literacy, Best Practices in TESOL and using available technology in the language teaching.
