Brief profile:
Assoc. Professor Etienne Ruvebana is an academic staff in the School of Law of the University of Rwanda with specialization in Public International Law, focusing on the branches of International Human rights Law and International Criminal Law. He also leads the Bilateral Research Cooperation between Rwanda and Sweden through the University of Rwanda- Sweden Program.
He previously served as Principal of the College of Arts and Social Sciences which is one of the seven colleges currently forming the University of Rwanda. Before that, he served as Dean of the School of Law. He is an alumnus of the National University of Rwanda ( for his LL. B) and the University of Groningen - the Netherlands (for his LL.M and PhD).
