Advocate Dr. Tom MULISA is a Lecturer of Constitutional law, Human Rights Law, Governance Law and Sociology of Law at the school of law of the University of Rwanda. He is holds a LLM in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa from the Centre for Human Rights of the University of Pretoria and PhD in Comparative Constitutional Law from Uppsala University in Sweden. Researcher and Lecturer on Sexual Reproductive Health Law and External examiner in the program of LL.M in Reproductive Health law at the Centre for Human Rights of the University of Pretoria. An Oxford University Constitutional law researcher for Rwanda. An External examiner for the LL-M in Multidisciplinary Human Rights at the Centre for Human Rights of the University of Pretoria. Founder and the Executive Director of Great Lakes Initiative for Human Rights and Development (GLIHD) that does Public Interest Litigation, Advocacy and Human Rights Monitoring. A member of the steering committee of SOWARS and East Africa Interim Advisory Committee for Global Fund for Women. A Board Member of Kituo cha Katiba (KcK) Eastern Africa Centre for Constitutional Development (A think tank on Constitutional matters) Has supervised many students since 2009 at the school Law bachelors’ program and examined LLM thesis from the Center for Human Rights of University of Pretoria. Has Published in Human Rights, Women and Health, Governance and Constitutional law.
