Brief profile: 
Currently, Mr. Francois Ndwaniye is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Rural Development and Agricultural Economics. He holds an MSc in Development Studies from Bugema University, Uganda, and s a PhD Scholar in Agricultural & Rural Innovation Studies (ARIS) at Egerton University, Kenya. His research interest is in rural sociology focusing on rural development, agricultural innovation systems/platforms, and gender in agriculture. He previously acted as a Deputy-project coordinator of NICHE/RWA/185 project “Capacity building for food security through sustainable potato value chain development in Rwanda”. He also served as Acting Director of Careers and Employability Services, Director of Students Welfare, and Coordinator of UR-CAVM gender mainstreaming in agriculture committee at UR-CAVM.
