"Dr. Richard S. Gashururu (he/him) is a veterinarian (BVM, Rwanda), holding a PhD in applied parasitology (University of Nairobi, Kenya) and an MSc in tropical animal health and disease control (ITM, Antwerp, Belgium). His research interest is on vectors & vector-borne diseases and neglected tropical diseases, particularly of zoonotic nature, and the One Health approach in disease investigation and control. Before joining academia, he served the Ministry of Agriculture as a professional in charge of fish and bee farming.
Membership: (1) Rwanda Council of Veterinary Doctors; (2) Africa One Health University Network (AFROHUN), Rwanda; (3) Rwanda Neglected Tropical Diseases Technical Working Group (NTDs TWG).
