MUKAGIHANA Josiane

Dr. Josiane MUKAGIHANA is a lecturer of Biology at the University of Rwanda – College of Education, holding a PhD in Biology Education, an MSc in Biotechnology, and a bachelor’s degree in biology with Education. Her work focuses on science teaching methods and the training of pre-service science teachers. She has taught at different universities and supervised undergraduate, master’s, and PhD research projects. With more than 12 peer-reviewed publications and experience as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals, she actively contributes to academic research and national education improvement, including training secondary school teachers through the Rwanda Quality Basic Education for Human Capital Development project. As a member of RAWISE, she is dedicated to promoting girls’ participation in science and advancing science learning through innovative, evidence-based practices
