Brief profile: 
Dr. Alice Muhayimana is a Registered Nurse and Midwife academic staff and researcher at the University of Rwanda. Dr Alice is a graduate of Consortium for Advanced Research and Training in Africa (CARTA) and she completed her PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 2024, focusing on Respectful Maternity Care (RMC). Prior to this, she earned her Master of Science with a specialization in Maternal and Neonatal Health from Moi University, Kenya in 2016, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the former Kigali Health Institute in 2010. Notably, in 2004, she was recognized as the top-performing student in the country at the secondary level in Science in Nursing. Dr. Alice began teaching at the University of Rwanda’s School of Nursing and Midwifery (SoNM) in July 2010. In addition to her teaching role, she currently serves as the Co-chair of international and local partnerships at the school and track Leader of neonatal nursing track in Master’s program.
