Dr. Mbarushimana has over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He has taught extensively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, covering modules in quantitative research methods, biostatistics, epidemiology, reproductive health, and public health. His research spans nutrition, child health, sexual and reproductive health, health informatics, and program evaluation, with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals such as BMC Public Health, Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems, Agriculture and Food Security, Pan African Medical Journal, and the Rwanda Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has contributed to multiple consultancy and research projects, including studies on malaria control, malnutrition, stunting, water and sanitation, and adolescent sexual health. His work emphasizes cultural sensitivity, evidence-based policy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Mbarushimana has also served in key academic and professional roles, including as a program evaluator for the Rwanda Higher Education Council, a reviewer for the Rwanda Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences, and a member of the Research Ethics and Examinations Committees. Fluent in Kinyarwanda, French, and English, Dr. Mbarushimana is committed to advancing public health education, building research capacity, and integrating AI literacy into health sciences curricula. His career reflects a strong dedication to mentorship, innovation, and translating research into policy and practice to improve health outcomes in Rwanda and beyond.
