Brief profile: 
Albert Irambeshya is a lecturer at the University of Rwanda, department of social sciences. He holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Bayreuth. He holds a master's degree in development studies from the University of Rwanda, and a master's degree in human rights and conflict resolution from the University of Burundi. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Rwanda. He has published several papers on elderly care and a paper on poverty profile in urban informal settlements in Rwanda. He has also published book chapters in the handbook on inequalities in later life and in the book "Old Age, Gender, Social Security in Africa and Europe.
