Brief profile: 
"Alice NAYABO is currently a PhD student at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) under ENTRUST, a bilateral Programme between SLU and the University of Rwanda (UR). Alice holds a master’s degree in Food Science from Sokoine University of Agriculture, a Postgraduate diploma in Food Biotechnology from Strathclyde University and a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). She is fluent in English, French and Swahili in addition to Kinyarwanda as her mother tongue. Alice has more than a decade of teaching experience at UR, College of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Science (UR-CAFF), where she is currently an assistant lecturer. Alice held different leadership positions: from 2018 to 2020, Year One coordinator, where she was in charge of coordinating the teaching activities of Year One students, and from 2015 to 2020, Representative of academic staff at the school level. 2011-2012, Academic secretary of the Department of Food Science and Technology (ISAE). Alice is a member of the Rwanda Association of Women in Science and Technology (RAWISE), chair of the Rwanda Standard Board (RSB) Technical committee on Roots and Tubers and a member of the Pan-African Movement (PAM)-Rwanda Chapter, Education Commission. Alice was also a CO-PI in projects named: “The Role of Kitchen Gardens in Food Security and Nutrition Diversity to Support School Feeding Program: a Case Study of Musanze and Nyabihu District Primary Schools” and ""Irish Potato Quality and Safety for Farmers Improved Incomes Generation and Sustainable Market Supply Chain with Potato Industry in Rwanda""."
