Brief profile:
Is a HoD and lecturer in the Department of Humanities and Language Education, at the University of Rwanda, College of Education since 2012. He holds a PhD in Kiswahili studies (OUT); Master of Arts in Kiswahili Literature (UDOM); and Bachelor of Arts with Education (UDSM). Before joining higher learning institutions as an academic staff in 2008, he had taught at different secondary schools in Tanzania. Apart from being a professional teacher, he is a literary historian, researcher, literary critic, and curriculum developer for secondary schools and higher learning institutions programs. His research interests are teaching and learning; Literature and language teaching and learning; Literature as a tool for implementing a curriculum; historical novels, ideology, and propaganda in literary texts; gender issues in literary works and Swahili culture and poetry. He has researched and published widely as he has many papers in reputable journals such as Kiswahili, Kioo cha Lugha, and Mulika.
