Brief profile:
Jean Paul Ngoboka (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer of Linguistics and English Language Education at the University of Rwanda (UR) in the Department of Languages Education in College of Education. He earned his MA cum Laude and PhD in Linguistics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in South Africa, where he was a two-time recipient of the Prestigious Doctoral Research Scholarship. His Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English was earned from former National University of Rwanda. He specializes in the syntax and morphology of Bantu languages and in applied linguistics. His research explores the intricate grammatical structures of Kinyarwanda and English language pedagogy in Rwanda. He published several articles and book chapters, including a chapter on Kinyarwanda for the Oxford Guide to the Bantu Languages. He currently serves as Head of Department of Languages Education.
