Mr. Laurien Tuyishimire is a PhD student in Kiswahili Studies and an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda–College of Education since 2021. His research examines Kiswahili literature, linguistics, and the integration of 21st-century skills in language education, with a strong focus on teaching and assessing critical thinking skills. His work explores how Kiswahili texts can enhance learners’ analytical abilities, the preparedness of pre-service teachers to teach higher-order skills, and the alignment of classroom practices and assessments with Rwanda’s Competence-Based Curriculum.
Research Area:
