The innovation of this projects aims at using natural grasses like COUCHGRASS(URWIRI) for transforming the fibers into final useful products. This work uses natural grasses with wooden glue as a binder material and converts them into building materials as MDF.
This innovative project consists in making new material/equipment made out of maize cobs and sisal fibers for manufacturing boards (MDF). The purpose was to examine the general limits within which a satisfactory board can be made with this agricultural residue where this maize cobs are mostly considered as agriculture waste.
