UWITONZE Pierre Celestin is an assistant lecturer of Physics at the University of Rwanda College of Education (UR-CE). He has a master's degree in Physics from Rhodes University, South Africa and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from the UR-CE. Mr UWITONZE Pierre Celestin did his bachelor degree in Physics, Chemistry with Education at University of Rwanda College of Education, Rwanda. He worked first as teacher of Physics and Deputy Head of teachers at Institut de formation Apostoric de Kimihurura (IFAK) before joining College of Education at University of Rwanda since 2008. He has experience working with undergraduate students and has a good knowledge of science education with a special interest in Physics Education and Nuclear Physics. He is an associate member of the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) based at the UR-CE. Mr UWITONZE Pierre Celestin is a Physics trainer in different CPD program organised by UR-CE such as Rwanda Quality Basic Education for Human Capital Development Project, AIMS, REB, and VVOB. Currently, he is a PhD student in Physics Education at UR-CE. His current PhD research is entitled "Diagnosis and remedies of students' misconceptions in Introductory Thermodynamics, A study on secondary school students in Rwanda" .
