"Dr. Ildephonse Habinshuti is a University Lecturer at University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Science, School of Agriculture and Food Sciences, Department of Food Science & Technology. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Agro-products Processing and Utilization from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Got a Master of Engineering in Food Science and Technology from Jiangnan University. Bachelor's degree in Crop Sciences from the University of Rwanda. A collaborative team player always searching for opportunities to impart valuable insights. He has enhanced his research abilities and cultivated a reputation as a contributor through discussions and critical thinking. Interested in Food Safety and Food Systems Transformation and Resilience. Consultant and trainer of Food Safety, Employability Skills (Soft Skills), and Entrepreneurship.
Additionally, Dr. Ildephonse has been involved and contributed to the development of national food standards/specifications in various technical standards committees Rwanda Standard Board (RSB).
Dr. Ildephonse has also experience of 3 years in teaching, developing course curricula and supervising the research dissertations of the students at higher learning institutions. He has also been involved in evaluations of University teaching programs.
The accomplishments of Dr. Ildephonse are built on his knowledge and skills obtained during his education career and short-term trainings in: food chemistry, food engineering, science and technology of fruits and vegetables, science and technology of cereals, new food product development, food packaging, post-harvest technology, food systems leadership, research design and research methods. "
