Brief profile: 
"Dr. Béatrice Yanzigiye is an Associate Professor at the University of Rwanda – College of Education. She was appointed Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Rwanda, responsible for institutional advancement, from June 2020 to May 2021. She is also the Director of the Confucius Institute, a position she has held since 2009. Dr. Yanzigiye is a member of the committee of Sembura Ferment Littéraire, a platform for writers and academics from the African Great Lakes region that promotes the teaching and learning of languages ​​and literature in the region. She has been also a member of the Rwandan Academy of Language and Culture for Twelve Years. She holds a PhD in French, Francophone, and Comparative Literature from the University of Bordeaux Montaigne (Bordeaux 3), France. Her research focuses primarily on language teaching in education and its impact on socio-economic development and the development of cultural industries. She has published extensively in recognized journals such as GERFLINT (Great Lakes Africa Synergies), DELLA Journal, Rwandan Journal of Education, Routledge & Taylor Group, and Rwanda Education Journal. She has also contributed to several books, notably those published by the Rwandan Academy of Language and Culture (RALC). She is also a Principal investigator, Co-Principal Investigator or task Leader in different research or Grant Projects such(1)'De la formation initiale au dispositif de maintien / attrition des enseignant.e.s au Rwanda : enjeux et perspectives'';(2) ""Implementing '4-1 Literacy Model to Accelerate quadriliteracy and Community Literacy in Kayonza and Nyagatare Districts"";(3)“Transformative Higher Education and Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Growth (TELLS) Project”;, etc. Since 2016, she has been a member of the University of Rwanda-College of Education Mentoring Committee, where she focuses on the creation of technical and professional advisory groups, as well as the evaluation, assessment, and approval of teaching across various themes. She is also a member of the Faculty of Education's capacity-building development team, which aims to select academic staff and candidates interested in pursuing doctoral studies. She is a member of the Academic Council and the Management Board of the University of Rwanda-College of Education."
