Brief profile:
MANIRAHO Jean Francois is a PhD holder, a Senior Lecturer and a Researcher at the University of Rwanda - College of Education. Over the last 15 years, Dr Maniraho has been lecturing in different higher learning institutions both in and outside Rwanda. He is a professional senior lecturer specialized in Mathematics education with knowledge in teacher education. He uses to work with NGOs which aligns their aims to the improvement of basic quality Education. Based on his scientific background with a Master of applied Mathematics, he is also a data analyst, with the capacity to use advanced programmes like MATLAB as a programming language and other analysis tools like SPSS, STATA and Nvivo. To contribute to the scientific world, Dr Maniraho has published a number of papers reviewed in scientific journals and supervises both Masters and PhD projects.
Jean Francois has been a Principal Investigator of various research like for example:
1. Effectiveness of CPD models to improve in-service training of STEM secondary school teachers in Rwanda
2. Empowering African Communities: Culturally Relevant Cybersecurity Education through Comic Books and AI Models for Children's Online Protection
Jean Francois has conducted project impact evaluation studies for a diverse range of entities like VSO etc. He performs different consultation tasks in well equipped organisations like USAID/FHI 360, JAICA etc. Jean Francois works in collaboration with REB and NESA on implementation of some of their activities and different reports were developed or co-developed
