Brief profile: 
Jean Leonard Buhigiro is an Associate Professor of History Education at the University of Rwanda – College of Education (UR-CE). He lectures in a wide range of modules, including Introduction to History, History Teaching Methods, History of Rwanda, History of International Relations, Medieval History, and Modern Times. Throughout his academic career, he has held several leadership roles such as Head of Department, Deputy Dean, and Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies in the School of Education. He has contributed to the writing of the General History of Rwanda (NUR–NCUR) and has served as a quality assurer for secondary school history textbooks.
