Prof. Pierre Canisius Ruterana is the Dean of School of Arts, Languages and Communication Studies, and lectures in the Department of Modern Languages and Culture, University of Rwanda. He has been teaching English and translation courses since 1998. He obtained his BA in English Literature and Linguistics from the National University of Rwanda, in 1998; MA in Translation Studies from the University of Warwick, England, in 2002, and a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Linköping, Sweden, in 2012. His research interests focus on language education, translation studies, language endangerment, home literacy, emergent literacy development and reading culture. "
