Brief profile:
Albert NGIRUWONSANGA works for the University of Rwanda, College of Education as an Assistant Lecturer of Computer Science since 2011. He obtained his Master of Science in Information Technology (MSc.IT) from the University of Madras (India) in 2016. He also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCLTHE) from the University of Rwanda. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Education from the former Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) now called UR-CE in 2009. Albert has been certified on a number of courses like Blended Learning Practice, Learning to Learn Online ad Technology-Enabled Learning from the Commonwealth of Learning and Athabasca University. For community outreach activities, Albert is an Academic Associate Member for the ACEITLMS and he is a part of the team that is implementing the RQBEHCD sub-component 1.2 project.
Albert has worked as a consultant for VVOB-Rwanda in CPD for STEM programme from 2018 to 2022. He also worked as an Expert for the Higher Education Council (HEC) for a number of times. Albert has a practical experience of integrating ICT in teaching, learning and assessment in primary, secondary and higher Education. He has a YouTube channel that aims at teaching people on various topics related to Computer Science and Technology. Albert is also a member of a team of Early Carrier Researchers currently being mentored by the University of Bristol under Afrika Mashariki Academic Mentoring Programme. He is also an Associate Member of African Data Engineering & Science Association (ADESA).
