Brief profile:
Mr Théoneste Hakizimana since 1992 holds a Master’s degree in pure Mathematics, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning Mathematics in Higher Education award by the People’s Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) and has been teaching mathematics in Higher Learning Institutions for 30 years. He worked in Kigali Institute of Education in Distance learning Programme office as Deputy Director (2001-2002), course coordinator of Mathematics and Physics modules and regional coordinator (2002-2007).
Currently, he is an Assistant Lecturer and coordinating Mathematics subject at the University of Rwanda, College of Education and an associate member of the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning of Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) based at University of Rwanda-College of Education. His research interests lie in Differential Geometry of quasigroups and webs and Mathematics Education in which he has published some papers.
