Brief profile:
Mrs. Pascasie Nyirahabimana is an assistant lecturer at University of Rwanda-College of Education (UR-CE). She is a PhD student in Physics Education at African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) based at the UR-CE. Her PhD research is on investigating the use of Multimedia interventions to improve the Teaching and Learning of Quantum Physics at URCE. She has authored and co-authored five publications. She holds a master's degree in Physical Sciences in-depth approach from University of Liege in Belgium. Pascasie is currently a Deputy Legal Representative of Rwandan Association for Women in Science and Engineering (RAWISE), a member of Organization for Women in Science for Developing World (OWSD), a Physics subject team leader in Rwanda Quality Basic Education for Human Capital Development project, subcomponent 1.2. and an active member of Rwanda Astrophysics, Space and Climate Science Research Group (RASCSRG). She has over fifteen (15) years’ experience of teaching physics on undergraduate and high school levels. She is a trainer/facilitator in continuous professional development of STEM teachers in Rwanda secondary and primary schools organized by UR-CE, AIMS, REB and VVOB. The fields of her current interest are STEM Education, Physics Education and Theoretical Physics.
