Brief profile:
Dr. Benoit Rugabirwa has been a Lecturer in Chemistry at the University of Rwanda, College of Education, since 2023. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering, awarded in 2019, and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, earned in 2015, both from Xiamen University (XMU). He received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry-Biology Education from the former Kigali Institute of Education, currently known as University of Rwanda College of Education in 2008.
His research interests include CO₂ capture, storage, and conversion; industrial waste management; inorganic composite synthesis and characterization; and teacher training. He has worked in various educational and policy-implementing institutions across the country from 2008 to 2013.
